Silverton Ultra Dirty
Due to the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic , we have closed registration and opened the wait-list until we know for sure we will be able to hold this race. By signing up on the wait-list you will be included in any emails sent out to entrants.
Registration Policies:
- REFUNDS — NO REFUNDS, but will be given the opportunity to defer your entry to the following year only, according to the schedule below. Please mark your calendar with the deadlines below:

- PREGNANCY DEFERRAL – Women who get pregnant between registration and race day may defer 100% entry fee to the following year. Please, you must notify the race dirctor contact the RD by Jun 1st to cancel and defer your registration.
- BIB TRANSFERS – Bib transfers are not permitted under any circumstance. Anyone found using someone else’s bib will be disqualified as will the person whose bib is being used.
- TRANSFER TO ANOTHER RACE — Transferring your entry between Silverton Ultra Dirty and Dirty 30 is permitted, as long as the race is not yet filled. If the race is full you will need to get on the waitlist to transfer. If you transfer up in distance you will need to pay the entry fee difference. There is no refund if you transfer down in distance. Email the race director with your request.
- CANCELLATION — Runner safety is our priority. The race director and race officials reserve the right to cancel or alter the race due to conditions outside our control, such as weather, fires, or other acts of nature. We will do our best to return a portion of the race fee to you if the race is canceled, but please remember that we still incur significant costs even if the race is canceled.
- WAITLIST — Once the race is filled the waitlist will be opened.

Additional Event Information
NOTE: All 100K and 55K entrants MUST acknowledge at registration that you are fully aware of what you are signing up for, a race that is very remote, mostly above tree line between 10,000′ and 12,800′, and is the middle of monsoon season in the San Juan Mountains where weather can be extreme. You also understand that you will be a long way from roads or help on most parts of this course and you will be hours from an aid station – for some racers, you will be more than 5 hours between aid stations. This is an amazing race and a spectacular course, I want you to experience it, but you must be willing and capable of managing yourself in challenging conditions.
GPS TRACKING
All racers must carry a GPS tracker during the 55K and 100K races. This important safety measure is required by the San Juan County Sheriff, Bruce Conrad. If you own your own tracker you may use it. You will enter your tracker’s number on the MAProgress registration page. If you do not own your own tracker, you may rent one from MAProgress for $39. All racers must register for tracking after you register at:

100K Registration Includes:
- A top-notch mountain ultra-marathon running experience
- 62.34 miles of the most amazingly spectacular single-track trails, including 23 miles along the most scenic part of the famous Colorado Trail. All single-track except for .88 mi of pavement leaving town and a total of 2.8 miles of dirt roads where you will not be contending with cars.
- An abundance of experienced, knowledgeable, attentive volunteers, including medical and communications staff
- 6 Well-stocked and well-supported aid stations including 2 remote aid stations.
- Top quality, men’s and women’s specific RACER tech tee – Included in price if you register before January 31st. $10 fee for shirts after Jan. 31st. No shirt if Registering after July 1st
- High-quality finisher medal

- MAProgress tracking service. You must have your own GPS tracker or you must rent one from MAProgress for $39. SUM will pay the fee for your tracker to show up on the Map platform so that the world can see your tracker.
- Pacer support at Aid 5 and 6.
55K Registration Includes:
- A top-notch mountain ultra-marathon running experience
- 36.4 miles of the most amazingly spectacular single-track trails, including 16.32 miles of the most spectacular part of the famous Colorado Trail and 11 miles on the famous Hardrock 100 course. 97% single-track trails in remote areas.
- Experienced, knowledgeable volunteers and medical and communications staff
- 4 Well-stocked and well-supported aid stations. 2 of these stations are very remote aid station where everything needs to be backpacked into.
- Top quality, men’s and women’s specific RACER tech tee – Included in price if you register before April 14. $10 fee for shirts after April 14th. No shirt if Registering after July 1st
- Awards Ceremony Sunday morning
- MAProgress tracking service. You must have your own GPS tracker or you must rent one from MAProgress for $39. SUM will pay the fee for your tracker to show up on the Map platform so that the world can see your tracker.
- Pacer support at Aid 6. Pacers are allowed to pace you from Aid 5 to the finish. In order for pacers to get to Aid 5 they can drive to the Ice Lakes TH parking lot and hike 2.5 ish miles up South Mineral Creek Rd. to Aid 5. ABSOLUTELY NO CREW OR PACER CARS MAY DRIVE BEYOND THE ICE LAKES TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT.

With 11 years experience directing the Golden Gate Dirty 30, a successful, well-organized race in the Denver area, 3 years organizing the Silverton Ultra Marathon and 10 years of volunteering for the Famous Hardrock 100, Megan has the experience and knowledge to create a top-notch experience for each entrant.
Trail Work
It is important to commit time to help improve and sustain the trails we enjoy. All Silverton Ultra Marathon participants are ENCOURAGED to complete 8 hours of volunteer trail work. Come join us July 13-14, 2019 in Silverton as we join forces with Hardrock to maintain the trails on this course and in the Silverton area. Dirty 30 will also be hosting trail work on May 18, 2019 in Golden Gate Canyon State Park 1 hour west of downtown Denver.
