Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak we have had to modify this year's Race The Falls event. Unfortunately, we will not be able to proceed with the in-person event at the Falls Reserve as originally planned. However, we are excited to announce that instead, Race Huron is introducing Race The Falls 2020 - Virtual Edition!
The New Virtual Format
This virtual event will take place on the originally planned date of Saturday, May 23rd, 2020. Simply run the distance you had registered for any time before 12:00pm noon on May 23rd from any location, any terrain, road, trail or treadmill (being respectful of social distancing rules of course). Keep track of your time (running watch, phone or stop watch) and upload your results. You do not need to make any changes to your current registration.
Details for uploading your race time, posting your awesome selfies and getting your sweet T-shirt will follow (yes, you will still get an awesome T-shirt!) NOTE: T-SHIRT CUTOFF FOR REGISTRATION HAS PASSED - MAY 15TH AT NOON EST
We will not be awarding medals this year, so any proceeds as a result of reduced costs will go towards local donations (see below).
Refunds
We are aware that in this difficult time, you may wish to have your registration refunded and that is totally understandable. For those who do not wish to compete in the virtual event, and would instead like to cancel for a refund, we ask that you please do so by Sunday, April 19th, as we will be placing the order for t-shirts on that day.
To request a refund, please email stacy@racehuron.com and provide your email address or race roster confirmation number. No refund requests will be accepted after April 19th.
Race Huron Donation Update
We are extremely grateful to our local frontline workers during this pandemic and for that reason, we have decided to direct proceeds from this event to the All In For Your Health campaign through our local Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation to help support mental health awareness, which is more important than ever at this time.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you on May 23 for a virtual high five and to help support this great foundation while you get your run on! You can feel proud that your accomplishment will not go unrecognized and that you are helping to support a great cause.
Note: that any donations already made from registrants to the Maitland Woods bridge repair will be sent on to the Maitland Trail Association as planned.

Refund Policy
The fees for this event are completely non-refundable or transferable, even for health or injury related events. In the extremely unlikely event that the event is completely cancelled due to weather, and the event is not rescheduled for this year, your fees (less the online registration fees) will be applied to next years race. All proceeds go to the local community and/or charitable organizations so in the event you are unable to participate, please understand that your fees will go towards supporting a good cause.
