RACE UPDATE - EVENT CANCELLED
The Kansas City Triathlon race staff and committee has worked diligently to prepare new guidelines and procedures that would allow us to host a safe event for all participants, spectators, staff, and volunteers. Unfortunately, under the current gathering restrictions and safety requirements as mandated by local government, we are unable to secure a permit to host the race on August 23rd. It is unclear when these restrictions may be revised, so we were forced to make the difficult decision to cancel.
Participate Virtually: Complete the Kansas City Triathlon on your own time and along your own course. The cost for the virtual race is $40 (for all distance options) and your finisher medal and participant shirt will be mailed to you directly. If you do not have access to a pool, lake or other body of water, simply supplement your swim with a cross training exercise of your choice, completing it using your estimated swim finish time. Recruit some friends, encourage them to register for the virtual event and complete the race together! Registration for the virtual race will remain open through August 23rd.

Refund Policy:
Registration fees are non-refundable in all cases regardless of inability to participate, with the exception of active military service. The race director reserves the right to cancel the event because of weather, natural disaster or other unforeseen circumstances which pose a significant danger to the participants. Event entries are transferable between persons. Event entries ARE NOT transferable between events or years. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms.
