We are thrilled and excited to re-launch the KVMarathon for 2020. After spanning 2004-2013 the race took a hiatus before John Kelley handed the reins of the race over to us at Fundy Sports & Tourism.
On Thursday 17 September at 6.00pm we will be closing registration for the KV Marathon & Half. We have been able to extend our deadline for race t-shirts to the same date so everyone registering prior to this date will be guaranteed a Finishers T-shirt. After this date due to Covid restrictions we will be unable to accept any new registrations.
Please Note - the last date to register to guarantee a Finishers T-shirt is 01 September 2020.
Latest News - Everyone racing with us will receive a Free 3 Day Pass* to the 3 YMCA locations in Greater Saint John. *if you have been a member in the past 12 months then unfortunately you cannot use this and this option does not include the Virtual Marathon.
Race day will comprise a full Marathon plus a Half Marathon. The Marathon will also include a 2 person relay and a 4 person relay.
For full details on the race please visit our website - KVMarathon
Our charity partner for the race will be the YMCA of Greater Saint John. A trusted charity committed to nurturing the potential of children, youth, seniors and families, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility within our community. Through our annual Strong Communities fundraising campaign we provide financial assistance for all ages and stages to access proven YMCA programs. We believe that giving them the opportunities they need to reach their full potential will help them to live healthier and happier lives.
Sponsors - Pumphouse Brewery have been a huge supporter of our events and they will be sponsoring our KVMarathon in 2020 with their products (not applicable to the virtual race).
For General Race Info and a Q&A on the race day including info on deferrals, transfers, refunds etc please visit - KVMarathon General Race Info If a situation should arise where we are unable to host the race as planned due to an unforseeable situation we may have to declare a state of Force Majure.
IMPORTANT NOTE - all athletes, volunteers, race crew and officials MUST respect physical distancing at all times during the entire event. We will also require that everyone wear a mask and gloves while in the field of play except when racing. If you have a medical condition where you are unable to wear a mask for a health reason you must submit a doctors note to the Race Director at least 7 days prior to race day - garth39@fastmail.fm

Marathon Relay - 4 Person Relay Only Closed
Online registration closed-
Our Marathon Relay is back for 2020 for teams of 4 people who can choose to run the full marathon as a team. This year with the whole Covid issues we will be doing the relay teams in a slightly different way. There will be one main Aid Station at the half way point of the race which will be a relay exchange point but as for the other 2 relay points you can do this at any point on the course that you choose as long as you deem it safe to do so. The idea is that you have to get your bib number from the start of the marathon to the end of the marathon between the 4 runners. Main Relay Exchange Point – Old Leisure Time RV facility on Rte 100 – Hampton Road. Each Relay runner will receive a Finishers medal and official Race shirt if ordered by the final order date. Please note - as of 04 September - we have had to place our order for T-shirts so we cannot guarantee your shirt size.
