The 23rd Edition Road Race (originally scheduled for 7/10/20) will look a lot different this year but in the end our goals remain the same: to have fun, promote local businesses, and raise money for KFL. The largest change is that we are not holding an in-person event.
We are having a virtual race. This means that you will get to participate, upload your times, and submit photos anytime from July 10 to July 31 and on any 5k distance of your choosing (though you can still use ours if you’d like). Registering for the race is the same except you have through July 31 to do so and the prizes will remain the same (no day-of price increases!).
If you are among the first 200 to register you still get a t-shirt (Bicentennial Blue this year!) and a goodie bag including a bib number. We are still figuring out the logistics of getting these items out to you. We hope to hold a sponsor recognition party once we open back up where we will also highlight prize winners but depending on how far in the future this is we may also hold this virtually. Additional prize categories will be added to add a layer of fun and will include most creative finish line, best selfie, and best coordinated pet costume. We have some raffle items as well that may be shifted to an online auction.

Same Day Registration
So you've registered for the event by midnight July 9, or sent in your application to KFL with your check by 5 PM July 9th. What's next? Present yourself to the friendly folks at the "pre-registration" between 4:00 and 5:30 PM if you haven't already picked up your bags and we will present you with your bib number and goodie bag--if you were lucky enough to be one of the first 200 entries! Mosey on down to the start line on Dane Street and be in place by 6 PM sharp when the starter's pistol goes off!
For those of you who haven't pre-registered by July 9th... You wake up on Friday, July 10th to a gorgeous day, and you decide that you really want to participate in this event––but you haven't registered! Not to worry! The "same day" registration desk opens at 4 PM and stays open until 5:30 PM at the library. Present yourself and your $35 for Adults; $15 for Youth (cash or check or credit/debit card) to the desk with a completed application form. Mosey on down to the start line on Dane Street and be in place by 6 PM sharp when the starter's pistol goes off!
