Mississippi Bar Trail Run
Congratulations to all of our virtual runners!
We are pleased to announce that our Virtual 5K/10K Trail Run has been successfully completed! While our physical event on June 6th at Mississippi Bar was cancelled in accordance with government orders and public health guidance, we launched a successful virtual campaign to keep the spirit of the trail run alive and encourage our participants to stay active and connected during these challenging times. Thank you to all those who stuck with us to the end! We also want to thank you for your fundraising efforts towards the Rachel Anne Gray Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship program for outstanding local Fair Oaks high school seniors established in memory of Rachel Gray, a cherished member of our community and avid trail runner. We are so excited to see our partnership with the memorial scholarship grow as our trail run picks up momentum in the years to come!

EVENT BACKGROUND
The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District is proud to present the Mississippi Bar Trail Run, an annual 5K & 10K trail run through the wetlands, oaks and single track on the north shore of Lake Natoma. This beautiful area in Fair Oaks once mined by gold prospectors is a real gem for outdoor enthusiasts and is a great location for hikes, bird watching, horseback rides, mountain biking and, of course, trail running. We look forward to seeing you at our second annual event on June 5, 2021.

The entrance to the Mississippi Bar event area is at the intersection of Sunset & Main Avenues in Fair Oaks, CA.
Travelling east or west on Highway 50, look for the Hazel Ave. exit (21) and take Hazel north to Sunset Ave. Turn right on Sunset and follow the street past Phoenix Park on your right all the way down until you reach the intersection with Main Ave.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
All entry fees are non-refundable and may not be transferred to future races. However, entries may be transferred to other individuals for this race. There are NO exceptions to the non-refundable policy.
Not accessible to strollers or pets!
The trails are not suitable for strollers or pets. Please use caution if you decide to run in these areas.
