These Byron Trail Races are a great opportunity to spend some time in nature challenging yourself with friends! The 2020 10 Mile, 5 mile and 2 mile run will give each runner a chance to explore some of the wonderful trails that Oxbow Park has to offer with an opportunity to visit the wonderful Oxbow Zoo! Join us August 2nd and travel the trails with us!
Team R.E.D. will be hosting the event and it's our mission to create a fantastic trail experience!
Below are a few Covid related adjustments:
- The three distances have staggered starts. Preventing a large start line crew.
- 10 Mile at 8am
- 5 Mile at 9am - allowing the 10 milers time to be significantly separated on the trails.
- 2 Mile at 9:15am -
- All Door Prizes will be drawn for prior to the start of each event. Avoiding a larger group gathering waiting for prizes or awards.
- Top Male / Top Female of each race receives a TerraLoco Gift Card. They will receive that card as they finish, again, so no one has to wait around if they choose not to.
- Participants will provide their own nutrition on the course and post race. This ensures we're not all touching the same stuff, or milling around a gatorade jug or cooler.
- Bibs are pre-assigned and spaced out in alphabetical order. - Participants will collect their own bib prior to the race. Hand Sanitizer is provided at the Bib Pickup.
- Neck Gaiters are laid out and spaced out on multiple tables, and participants will collect theirs as they finish. Hand Sanitizer is available at those tables too.
- Sadly, no live music this year. Again, it's to minimize the size of the post race gathering.
Online Registration closes August 1st @ noon. There will be day of registration starting one hour before the start of each race.
Note: the registration fee does increase an additional $5 after online registration closes.
