MUSKOKA KIDS TRI 2020

The Muskoka Kids Tri is an event for kids who like to have fun. Many participants are first-time triathletes. This is NOT an event suitable for kids looking for a super-competitive triathlon experience. No wetsuits for any age group. No clipless pedals for racers 14 and under. No training wheels.

This is also an ideal event for parents to 'try a tri'. We highly encourage this! There is a long tradition of whole families participating and kids getting inspiration from watching their parents participate.

The Muskoka Kids Tri sells out early every year. There are only so many people that can fit into our transition area at Port Sydney Beach. Because we want to have as many spaces as possible for kids - there are only 60 adult spots available. Ideally these spots will be filled by the parents of the kids participating.

Participants in the adult category be able to swim the 400m without a life jacket. This relates to the timing of opening the transition area for participants who have completed their triathlon.

One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre is a regional not for profit, multi-service agency providing community based rehabilitation, specialized clinic services and related support services for children and youth (from birth to 19 years) with communication, developmental and physical disabilities. One Kids Place provides services to families in the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound. One Kids Place provides an integrated range of services and supports which recognize the changing physical, emotional and psychological aspects of a child’s development. One Kids Place services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, social work, therapeutic recreation, as well as a number of specialized clinics.

Our Extended Refund Policy (ERP) will allow participants to get a FULL refund on their registration fee (not including ERP and processing fees) up to noon on July 11th, 2020. This is ideal for participants who want to secure the early bird pricing discount but are worried they may have a conflict by the time July 18th rolls around and may need to cancel. Note: processing fees and the ERP fee are not refundable. Must be purchased with each individual registered at the time of registration (ie. one ERP purchase does not cover a whole group or family).
