ACCEPTING SAME DAY RACE REGISTRATIONS STARTING AT 8:15 AM

Both the 5K and 1 Mile fun Run courses are on the paved bike trails, and are 100% closed to traffic. Packet Pickup and race day registration will begin at 8AM. Proceeds benefit support for Embracing Tolerance, a local education and awareness program whose vision is to create a generation of educated and socially responsible youth. Embracing Tolerance seeks to arm teens and preteens with knowledge, empathy, and responsiveness to combat bullying, racism, and prejudice.

The 5K is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event for 2021! This is one of the first qualifier races for 2020

ALL parking is at Newtown Park. Please use the Old Alabama Rd entrance and park in the first lot on the right.

1 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:00am, and the 5K at 9:30 am. Awards ceremony and speakers at 10:30 am

Awards will be given out as per the awards table below

ALL FINISHERS IN THE 5K AND 1 MILE FUN RUN RECEIVE CUSTOM FINISHER MEDALS AND A QUALITY TEE-SHIRT


VENUE / PARKING / RESTROOMS

The race is at Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Rd in Johns Creek. When you enter the main entrance to the park (across from the fire station), please park in the first lot on the right.

The start/finish and all race activities will be in the main pavilions, a very short walk inside the park from parking.

COURSE
We are using the 2 1/2 loop course that is the Newtown Park "standard". It is USATF certified and can be used for seeding in the AJC Peachtree Road Race. You will pass the water stop 2 times on the course (.9 miles and 2 miles) The 1K course is a single loop. WEATHER We run rain or shine. In the event of lightning we will postpone the start until it is safe to proceed. We will work in conjunction with local authorities to determine this. In the event of lightning the safest place is always your car.
