IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID 19
The Kingston Velo Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the event as a result of COVID 19. This is very disappointing, however we believe that for everyone’s safety, it is the best decision under the current circumstances.
We will be working over the next few days to re-register you for the 2021 event, scheduled for May 8, 2021. We hope you will participate in next year’s event and to make that seamless for you, we will transfer your registration information and payment to the 2021 event. We will provide you with a link to that new page on RaceRoster once that work is complete. If this does not work for you, please let us know and we will work something out with you. As many other cancelled events are doing, we encourage you to use the GPS routes provided and do the ride at your leisure.
This change will also bring an end to our fundraising for Kingston Interval House. Although we are disappointed with the necessity to do so, we are pleased that our riders have raised over $2900 for the organization. If you have been collecting donations, please reach out to your donors to let them know of our decision to cancel the event. The Kingston Velo Club is very grateful for their generosity. The Kingston Interval House will be issuing tax receipts as part of their normal processes, though there may be some delay because of the current situation.
Welcome to the third annual Mother Ride, a self-paced ride hosted by the Kingston Velo Club. Choose one of 4 different rides: 100km, 50km, 25km along the country roads of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington counties, or a Family Ride on the K&P Rail Trail. This event is a fundraiser and this year's charity is Kingston Interval House - a shelter for women and children in crisis.
GREAT NEWS ! Frontenac Cycle has donated an OPUS CLASSICO bike and Cataraqui Golf and Country Club have donated a ROUND of GOLF for 2 persons with a golf cart as draw prizes after the Mother Ride. All registered riders will be entered in the draw.

Online registration closed-
This ride is designed for the occasional or new rider and will leave the Cataraqui Community Centre at 11:00am. This route is designed to minimize left hand turns and follows very pretty country roads in Frontenac County. This route also provides 2 opportunities to shorten the ride – by turning right on Sydenham Road (beware the big hill leading up to Burbrook Road!) or by continuing west along Unity Road past Sydenham Road, turning right at Highland Heights and then picking up the route on Cole Hill Road. Printed routes and cue sheets will be included in the ride kits. This ride will have a Ride Leader and a sweep and will ride as a group. Anyone wishing to do the shorter routes must advise the leader. The Ride Leader will provide any specific instructions prior to starting the ride.
