WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Walk from October 17 ~ October 28, 2020

Registration is open for the 9th Annual Virtual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes 5K Walk/Run Against Domestic Violence.

Due to COVID-19 all t-shirts will be mailed this year. Participants who register by September 30th, will receive 1st shipment. Participants who register after the deadline, shirts will ship on or after October 31st. WALK THE WALK TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The walk is a symbolic gesture of the community walking to raise awareness and money on the issues of violence against women. You may complete your virtual walk/run at the time and location of your choice between October 17th - October 28th.

The Walk gives men, women and children the opportunity to publicly take a stand that domestic violence is not tolerated in our homes, workplace, schools, and our communities; it shows that communities all across Georgia are willing to stand together with women in making the world a safer place for all women and children.

Purple Serenity Awareness to End Domestic Violence ~ Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00pm Help us honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence. Offer hope to those still facing abuse and celebrate those who survived. We invite you and your family to attend this year’s virtual event to give a glimmer of light and hope to survivors that they are not alone in ending domestic violence. Virtual Post Rally & Awards Ceremony ~ Saturday, October 31st at 11:00am 1st Place winners will receive a winner's trophy | 2nd place winner $30 | 3rd place winner $20 will receive a eGift Card. The Biggest Team Challenge Captain with the largest amount of team members to register will win a winner's trophy. Winners will be tracked using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app. Complete details on how to use the app will be emailed to all paid participants beginning, October 1st.
