In view of the current situation with Coronavirus we have taken the decision to cancel our Takeley 10K race scheduled for 6th September. If you have already entered we will contact you shortly to arrange a refund.

Event Info
10K RACE Start Time 11am; NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY; Minimum age for 10k entry 16 years old on the day of the race; Unfortunately we are unable to accept Wheelchair entries due to the off-road terrain.
Children and Families FUN RUN - Start Time 1pm (After final finisher of 10k Race) - no need to book in advance for this - just turn up and enter on the day. Donation to our Fund-Raising - Minimum £2

This is charitable fund raising event for Registered Charity Takeley Silver Jubilee Hall. As such there will be no refunds if you are unable to race. We ask that you find a friend or family member to take your place and edit your entry with your replacement

RUNNERS INFORMATION
ENTRIES
Entries are £16 for the 10K and £2 for 1 Mile Fun Run. All funds in aid of Takeley Village Hall and Social Club. We have a maximum of 500 entries and all entries are taken via www.chiptiminguk.co.uk
RACE HQ
We will open the Race HQ at the Silver Jubilee Hall at 9.30am where you will collect your number with your timing chip. At 10:40am there will be a verbal Race Briefing at the rear of the Race HQ.
RACE START
Start At 10:50am we will walk competitors from Race HQ, across the B1256 into the Pasture estate opposite. Then through Chapel Fields down the slope onto the Flitch Way and head to the start line approximately 300m away. The race start is at 11.00am.
RACE ROUTE
The 10K distance has been measured as accurately as possible with GPS technology and is overall slightly undulating. It is mostly on the Flitch Way and on grass paths and bridleways. There is also about 0.7 kilometre of road which leads to the finish line.
WATER STATIONS
There will be water stations at about 2.5k and 7.5k. First Aid will be provided by Hearts Services with support at Race HQ and on the course.
FINISH LINE
The finish is at the Silver Jubilee Hall where you will receive your Takeley 10K finishers t-shirt.
AWARDS
Presentations will take place as soon as we can, after our last runner is home. around 12:30 / 12:45. Prizes Awards to 1st, 2nd, 3rd (M/F) 1st Male over 40 , 1st Female over 35 1st Male over 50 1st Female over 45 1st Male over 60 1st Female over 55 1st Male over 65 1st Female over 60.
1st, 2nd and 3rd overall winners will only receive one award in that class and are not eligible for any other category.
CHILDREN'S FUN RUN
After the main race we will have a 1-mile off-road fun run for children and parents. It will start after the prize presentations for the 10k, at 1:00pm - Listen for an announcement on the public address system. We would ask you to donate generously to collect your number and we will be providing a medal for all children finishing the run and prizes for the winners of each category.
BBQ AND STALLS
Refreshments Snacks and Teas, Coffees and Soft drinks will be available all day from the various stalls outside and in the Social Club. For those who prefer something a little stronger, the bar will be open from 12:00
