What: | The 11th annual Camp Fontanelle Halloween Wilderness Race. A 5 km wilderness race or 1.25 mile walk that is open to all. |
When: | Saturday, October 31st, 2020 9:00 am 1.25 mile walk or 5 k run open to all adults and kids |
Where: | Camp Fontanelle (9677 County Road 3, Fontanelle, NE 68044) The 1.25 mile walk and 5K race start by new shelter by corn maze parking and end by the new shelter. Race is run on hills/bluffs of the Elkhorn River on the trails. Terrain is often steep with some bluff and his running available to 5k runners. Runners run only groomed trails. 1.25 mile walk is on trails only. |
Family: | All spectators are invited to eat @$5/person. Pumpkin patch & corn maze open. Visit www.campfontanelle.com Family maze is open until 7 pm. |
Entry Fee: | $30 for all runners includes meal and race entry. If postmarked on or before Tues. October 20, 2020 the entry fee will also include a T-shirt and maze admission. The entry fee for late registration or race day registration will remain $30, but will not include a T-shirt. Payment must be received for online registrations by Oct. 20th for T-shirt orders. Prepay for additional meals $5/meal. Please make check payable to Camp Fontanelle. Fees are nonrefundable. Early bird registration price is $25 if you sign up by August 31st. Awards: | The top 3 males and top 3 females each age group in 5K run will each receive medals. A trophy for top male and for top female 5K runner will also be awarded. All kids 14 & under entered in the 1 mile walk will receive a medal. The awards ceremony will take place during the meal following the race. Age groups for race are: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. |

Camp Fontanelle's mission is "Transforming lives through intentional Christian community". This event helps to support the summer camp ministry program at Camp Fontanelle where children have visited since 1959. Resident camps are available for children ages 4-18. -T-Shirt Pickup At 8:00 AM inside the 7:24 Shelter across the road from the corn maze parking lot. -Park in the corn maze parking lot. -Registration packets will include your racing bibs, corn maze pass, and extra meal tickets as requested. Keep your racing bib as your meal ticket.
-Race starts at 9:00 AM. Please arrive early to get packet and attach racing bib and to stretch if needed.
-Pay attention to signage and trail markings.
-Modern restrooms and showers are available at the 7:24 Shelter.
-A bottle of sports drink or water will be available after the race/walk for participants only please.
-Refreshments/food will be available in the 7:24 Shelter at 10:00 am. Awards will be announced as soon as results are available (10:00 AM??) Please sign up for any refreshments in advance so enough food is prepared. Cost is $5/person for nonparticipants.
-Regular maze activities available from 10 AM to 7 PM include pumpkin patch, maze, petting barn, hayrack ride, bounce house, barrel train, pedal karts, Fort Jones, roller slide, and jumping pillow. Pumpkins are free will donation. Purchase tickets at concession stand or ticket booth for laser tag and zip line which are open from 2 PM to 6 PM.
