the 3rd Annual CIRT's Pony Express 5K Gallop and 1K Fun Walk/Trot
CIRT was founded to promote the well-being of persons with disabilities through the provisions of horseback riding and other related activities within a safe and enjoyable atmosphere designed by professionals and implemented primarily by volunteers. Join CIRT for the 3rd Annual 5K Run and 1K Fun Walk/Trot!
Here are some of the safety guidelines for the race...
Packet Pickup Will be before the race at starting at 6:30 a.m.
• Race Day Registration – you may register from their phone before the event, If so, a bib will be assigned from 1 race volunteer (wearing gloves and mask) using the ShaZam Racing kiosk
• Pre-assigned Bibs
o Handed to individual from 1 race volunteer (wearing gloves and mask)
• Swag
o Separate table for swag pickup
o Pre-packaged and labeled
o After pickup, participants are encourage to return to their vehicles
Race Start
• 14 foot normal setup
o 25 cones every 6 feet down the middle
o Runners will line up on either side of the cones to maintain social distance. This covers 50 participants
o Masks should be worn while waiting in the start area
Water Stop
• No Water Stops- Participants should bring their own water for on-course
Race Finish
• Participants will continue through the chute area
• Participants should put masks back on after they finish
• Finisher medals pre-packaged with swag
• Participants are then to proceed to their vehicles
• Results can be found online but no on-site computers will be available to check results
*No Dogs
*No awards ceremony
