My Story…
I was diagnosed with ACC (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma) in May 2020. I am currently in radiation/chemo treatments to shrink the tumor in the base of my tongue and target the lymph node. It has metastasized to my lungs and I will be monitored closely. There is research being done and new clinical trials coming out. ACCRF (Adenoid Cystic Research Foundation) leads the research and funding for this rare salivary cancer. Brave like Gabe foundation will donate money raised to ACCRF.
I will just be finishing my treatments and beginning to feel myself again when the race takes place. But I am hopeful to complete some part if not all of the 5k on September 4-6th.
