Now, this is a story all about how her life got flipped-turned upside down. And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how TN became her worst nightmare.....So, this is an example of the humor my sister, Samantha, uses to get through the daily struggle of coping with her Type 2 Trigeminal Neuralgia. It started off as an odd sensation in her tongue in March 2019 and evolved into unimaginable nerve pain that impacted the entire left side of her head within a few short months. After much poking and prodding, she was diagnosed with TN and medication now keeps life functional and the horrendous pain at bay. Through everything that she has “faced” (see what I did there😉) Samantha has kept her sense of humor and the sound of her contagious laughter filling the air. We walked the inaugural Race AgainsTNerve Pain last year and are excited do it again this year. A small group of us will walk the 1k on Sept 26, so join us, or support the cause on your own!
