The Autism 5K and Fun Run 2020

April is National Autism Awareness Month. Help us promote autism awareness and acceptance by joining us for a Saturday morning 5K and Fun Run at Ballard Park. Proceeds from this event will go to the Autism Center of North Mississippi, a local 501(c)3 providing affordable Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The 5K will start at 8:00 AM. The Fun Run will start at 8:45. The registration process is the same for both events. You can sign up online by using this site, or you can sign up in person at the Autism Center's office. Early entry fee is $20, but goes up to $25 on April 5th and $30 the day of race (April 18th). The cost of the Fun Run is the same as the 5K. Anyone who wants to help support our cause but has other plans that day can have their t-shirt mailed for an additional $5.
If your family wants to participate, we have a $60 family maximum for up to 4 family members. All members must live at the same address and sign up at the same time before April 18th. You will have to go by the Autism center and sign up in person to get this option OR call the center and pay over the phone. (Autism Center: 146 S. Thomas Street, Suite C/D Tupelo, MS 38801 ---- This is located in the back of Spanish Village Complex.)
Race day registration will be start at 7:00 AM, but the entry fee increases to $30. To guarantee your t-shirt size, please sign-up by April 11th. Online registration cutoff will be April 11th.
All pre-registered runners will get an Autism 5K t-shirt. All runners/walkers can participate in awards. Age groups for male and female participants will be 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
The FUN RUN will begin at 8:45. All children must be accompanied by an adult at the park. Volunteers will be provided for the fun run. They will be along the course. Parents are welcome to walk/run beside them to cheer them on.
Please be sure to register each participant so everyone can get a race package including t-shirt. The registration cost is the same for the fun run.
We encourage and invite you to create a TEAM (for example, "Conner's Crew", "Team Jack" or "Business Name Team") and raise funds for the Autism Center's mission through your team. After creating a team through this registration process, you can share the link on social media and invite your friends to donate to your team.
T- Shirts are Anvil brand, sizes Youth Small to Adult 3X. The t-shirt company suggests ordering a size up.
