The Delaware SPCA presents The Fast & the Furriest 5k

Mission

The mission of the Delaware SPCA (https://www.delspca.org/) is to prevent cruelty to animals. We bring our mission to life through programs which provide shelter and adoption for unwanted and homeless pets, reduce pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter, and enable pet retention by providing low-cost veterinary services.

Join us for The Fast & Furriest 5k to raise awareness and funds for our lifesaving mission. Out of an abundance of caution, we will forego the in-person race for a virtual event. You can race anytime, anywhere October 4-11. All registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Register - Choose 5k run or walk
2. Race - Walk or run ANY day October 4-11. Use a fitness watch or smartphone app to track your distance and time. Take a picture of your record.
3. Share- Submit your time and picture of your record. Submit your results. Share photos on Facebook and Instagram!
   
   SMARTPHONE APPS

   There are many free apps that you can download and use to record your virtual results. Use one of these apps to track your run or walk. Or use your favorite app or smartwatch. Most importantly, don't forget to save your activity and upload your results!

Race Time

Sleep in.....run anytime Oct. 4-11th at noon

Location

Run anywhere, anytime.

• In a park
• Your favorite route
• A new route or residential neighborhood
• Take to a trail or you local high school track

Run anywhere you want! Just make sure you record it.

SHARE YOUR RESULTS

1. Find your Race Roster registration receipt email and locate your confirmation number. (The email will be from Race Roster "therunner@raceroster.com")

2. Click "Submit a virtual result" on the results page.

3. Enter your name and the confirmation number from your receipt in the dialog box that appears. You will be prompted to enter the results of anyone you registered.

4. Enter your results. (If you registered multiple people, you will be able to submit their results now. Or you can come back later to post more results.)

5. Click submit once complete.
