The Passavant-Gatorade Race is the longest, consecutive running event in Jacksonville. 2020 is our 28th year.
Be prepared for a PR as both courses are flat and fast. Both courses start and finish on the east side of the campus of Passavant Area Hospital.
The first 400 runners to cross the finish line receive a custom finishers medal. First, second and third place awards are presented to males and females in 16 age categories. All paid runners receive a tech shirt, post-race refreshments and a chance to win some great prizes, including St. Louis Cardinals tickets, concert tickets, race clothing and more!
Packet pickup for Springfield-area runners:
Thursday, May 21, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Springfield Running Center, 2943 West White Oaks Drive, Springfield. You may also register at pick-up.
Packet pickup for Jacksonville-area runners:
Friday, May 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby at Passavant. You may also register at pick-up.
Awards to top overall male and female finishers in each race and the first, second, and third place finishers, male and female, in the following age categories: under 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.
Showers available at Fitness World Health Club (south of the hospital/across the street) following the race. Runners must show race number at desk.
For the safety of each runner, headphones are strongly discouraged.
Both courses are USA Track and Field-certified. Both races qualify for the SRRC Participation Series points.
Parking in Fitness World north lot (south and across the street from Passavant) and lots on the south, north and east sides of the hospital. Watch for parking signs.
Proceeds from the 2020 event will be used to restore Minnie Barr Park on the northeast side of Jacksonville. The restoration project is part of Passavant Area Hospital's Healthy Jacksonville initiative.
