My Story…
On January 1, 2020, I ran/walk my first 5K! That race was for me; I wanted to start and finish something new and challenging. Upon finishing the race (and not having to be taken to Georgetown hospital, lmbo), I made a personal commitment to run/walk at least one 5K every month in 2020. To stay motivated, I have attached my personal commitment to my responsibility to serve. That brings me to the purpose of this note …
On June 27, I will participate in the 12th HBCU Alumni Alliance 5K Run/Walk. The mission of the HBCU Alumni Alliance is to serve as an advocate for HBCU Alumni Associations by supporting the mission of HBCUs through scholarship fundraising. I am excited to be raising scholarship dollars as a member of Team LOAT (Ladies Of A&T)!
