My Story…
I started to experience my dystonia 8 years ago. I was only able to receive a diagnosis 2 years ago. The 6 years of agony were life altering in a time in my life where I should have been building up my career. Managing my condition is a 24/7 job and my biggest desire is to see effective treatment options for all patients as well as faster diagnosis for patients nationally.
Description
Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder that causes muscles in the body to contract or spasm involuntarily. Primary dystonia affects approximately 50,000 Canadians. Watch this short video to learn more.
