Virtual Event
Last August we were able to bring joy and excitement to a very special person.
Amy, her mother, and grandmother all signed up to participate in our 5K run and 1 mile walk fundraiser. This was particularly special for this family because not only were they all going to attend, but they were supporting a cause near and dear to their hearts. Amy’s mother reached out to me before the event and said that Amy was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. This news hit Amy hard, she felt isolated and alone, almost like she was the only one battling with this disease. Amy could not believe that there was an event dedicated to helping people like her. Amy realized that not only was there a network of others going through the same battle as her, but that so many cared enough to want to help her and others like her. At that point we all knew we were doing more than just putting on a great event, we were changing lives.
We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Crohn's and Colitis 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk hosted by MG McGrath!
This year we are expanding our event to another location. We will be holding our Kenosha Wisconsin event at Bristol Woods and Pringle Nature Center. This is a family friendly event that will feature a Party in the Park with refreshments and recovery snacks for the whole family to enjoy. We will also have pop up shops from our sponsors to allow our participants to get their hands on some of the amazing products they offer. All the proceeds will go directly to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
