Come join the Schroeder Middle School 7th graders for a fun 5K to help clean up trash along the Greenway of Grand Forks. They have been learning about watersheds and the impact of trash on the World's river basins and are hoping to engage the community in an effort to protect our beloved Red River.
The Trash Dash will be held on February 29th at 2:00 PM. Picking up trash on the run will lower your time. For every piece picked up, 10 seconds will be taken off your time. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled and deviate from the course in order to do a good job cleaning up. Remember, this is more about cleaning up than it is about running fast. Our goal is to engage our community in a fun afternoon of healthy activity and community service. You bring your running shoes and a pair of gloves, we'll provide the trash bags and the timing.
Meet at the Lincoln Drive Park warming house. Packet pickup will be from 1:00 to 1:45.
