The weather is looking great for Saturday!!!
Packet pickup will be Friday from 8am to 5pm at the police station, 1001 S. Caraway road. You can also pick it up the morning of the event.
Saturday
Parking. There are 3 parking lots at access 5. (pav. 5, by the playground, and by the pump track). You can also park in the grass along the edge of the road. Please do not block the trail crossings or the paved path around the park.
7:15 am packet pick up and registration at Pavilion 5 (access 5)
7:50 am line up for 5k and announcements
8 am 5k start
9:30 am trophy awards for 5k
9:50 am bikers go to registration and draw your first card. Also line up
10:00 am poker ride start
11:00 to 11:30 ish (when all riders are back) poker drawing. all remaining participants will be given a ticket and prizes will be picked!! Runners please stay to win prizes!!!! Grab a snack from the grill while you wait!

Jonesboro Police D.A.R.E. will be hosting our Third U.S. Renal Care D.A.R.E. 2 Tread the Trails event. We will start off with a timed trail run at 8 am. The run will be a challenge for our participants!!! The 5k will take place at Craighead Forest Park (Access 5). The race will start and end near the trail entrance (close to the pavilion), with the duration of the race through the woods on single track trails. Depending on your gps, the run could show between 3.1 and 3.4 miles. We will award the trophies at approximately 9:30 am. We will begin the mountain bike poker ride at approximately 10 am. The mountain bike ride will not be timed. We want this event to be a fun ride for the participants. The bike ride was approximately 4.5 miles last year. We have added a longer Mountain bike ride for those wanting a little more! It will be about 8 miles. We will have participation medals for the bike riders. We hope to get a few items to give away to our participants. We will have prizes for the highest and lowest poker hand. After the high and low hand pick their prizes, we will draw tickets until all the prizes are taken! (stay around until the end) You can enter both events!!! I'm not sure if you have been to one of our DARE events. We like to eat! We will have our grill there to cook a few hot dogs for you to enjoy!! We encourage all of our runners to stay until the end of the poker ride. We want you to have a chance at our prizes! Packet pick up will be from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm at the Jonesboro Police Station (1001 S. Caraway Rd., Jonesboro, AR 72401) on Oct 16, 2020 and the morning of the race.

100% of the money raised stays in our local DARE program! We provide every 5th grade student with a shirt and book for our DARE program. We teach approximately 1400 students each year. Trail run will start at 8 am. The starting line will be by the band shell at Craighead Forest Park, Pavilion 6. Trophies will be given for each age division.
