Due to unforeseen circumstances with the COVID-19 crisis, the Town of Center Harbor has been faced with challenging decisions for the 4th of July events. This pandemic is nothing anyone expected, but the safety and health of the community and people is of the utmost importance. It is by unanimous decision that the Board of Selectmen have cancelled the 4th of July Footrace and Fireworks 2020. Our patrons and participants are important to us and we very much look forward to sponsoring the Center Harbor Footrace and Fireworks next year in 2021. For those who have registered on line, a "promotional code" will be given to you for 100% OFF next year when you register with Race Roster. May you all be safe and healthy!

Center Harbor – FOOTRACE – July 4, 2020 – Dedicated in memory of Ron Ulm. The Center Harbor July 4th Footrace was founded by Ron Ulm and was his favorite town event in Center Harbor. Ron was always eager to mark the red tape mile markers on the road for the 5 Mile race. We shall always remember his smiling face and helping hands at the finish line water station in front of the fire station.
Greetings from Center Harbor Parks and Recreation! Come to beautiful Center Harbor, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee and join us for the 42nd Annual Center Harbor Footraces, including “Baby Crawl”, “Kid’s Races”, “1.776 Mile” and “5 Mile” runs. Again this year, Granite State Racing Services will be providing automatic timing. You will be able to get race results on your phone in minutes.
Important reminder: Children and adults must register on-line! To get your name on a T-Shirt you must register in early registration by May 25th!!! Distribution of all other T-shirts will be done on a first-come first serve basis. Children’s races are FREE, but must be registered on-line. CUT-OFF DATE FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS JULY 1ST.
Race Packet Pick-up: Registered racers will be able to pick up race packets July 3rd 5:00-6:30 PM or on race day July 4th 7:15-9:30 AM.
Adult Races: 1.776 Mile and 5 Mile – Chip bibs are coded to each runner and race. DO NOT SWITCH BIBS. Please inform race director if you need to switch races or runners. Bibs must be worn of front chest. Start time for 1.776 and 5 Mile is 10:00 AM on 36 Main Street. Please arrive no later than 9:45 for the 10:00 AM start time. (Main Street will be shut down to traffic.) FASTEST RUNNERS SHOULD LINE UP IN FRONT OF PACK FOR BOTH RACES, with slower racers behind.
Kid’s Races & Baby Crawl (Ages Baby to 12): Start time is 9:00 AM. Please arrive no later than 8:45. Kid’s races will start with oldest age group 11-12 FIRST! Lower age groups will follow, down to Baby Crawl at the end. Kid’s races will take place adjacent to the Town Hall and the Library. FREE mini cones at Dewey’s Ice Cream Parlor until NOON with children’s race bib.
Awards: Awards for the 1.776 and 5 Mile races will take place at the Bandstand following the final runner of the 5 Mile race (estimated between 11:00 – 11:30 AM).
