In light of the COVID-19 Virus and Tower Grove not receiving any directives on the limitations of Run/Walk for July, the 2020 5K Health Hustle will now be a virtual 5K run/1 Mile walk. This annual event is to promote health and wellness among our workforce. As helpers, we often do not take enough time to care for our own recovery and well-being; our focus is on those we serve, often leaving little energy to manage a healthy lifestyle for ourselves. Choose your date and time by July 11, 2020 and submit your photo to wellness@placesforpeople.org. Remember the theme this year is "Do the Hustle!" Registration fee is now $10. Your health and safety are our foremost concern as we continue to fulfill our mission. The agency is committed to adhering to local, state, and federal guidelines regarding "physical/social distancing". With this fun event, we want to encourage our staff to come out and get moving. As professionals at a healthcare organization, it is important that we lead by example and take some steps to improve our own wellness. Race fees and sponsorship will first pay for the cost of this fantastic event; any additional proceeds will be donated to Places for People, for the benefit of those we serve.
