Join us for our 3rd Annual 5k and Fun Run to SMASH the stigmas surrounding people with disabilities in the United States and abroad. Due to the on-going COVID19 pandemic, we have decided to make this year's event virtual!!

This year's registration will include a self-timed 5k using the ASICS Runkeeper app, or you may choose to participate in a 1-mile walk or Fun Run to show your awareness! Each registrant will also get a t-shirt with our superhero logo on it (*guaranteed if registered by September 5, 2020). We encourage you all to stick with tradition and run, walk, or roll dressed in your favorite superhero attire! Everyone who registers will be eligible to win one of our costume or door prizes. 5k participants who place in one of our 5k categories (1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their age group and overall male and female) will receive a beautiful race medal with handmade ribbons created by our friends and partners in Kibera, Kenya.

Our virtual 5k and Fun Run will run from 8:00AM Saturday, September 26th to 11:59PM Saturday October 3rd. You have two options for running this year:

Option 1: Choose your own route and choose your own day between September 26, 2020 and October 3, 2020. Just be sure to upload your results by 11:59PM on October 3rd. You can literally run it from anywhere around the world!

Option 2: Run OUR course at Shelby Farms Park on September 26, 2020! We will be kicking off our virtual 5k week at Hyde Lake Pavilion on Saturday, September 26th. While practicing safe social distancing guidelines in-line with the CDC and the city of Memphis recommendations, you will find our crew at Hyde Lake Pavilion from 8am-2pm. Come out and say hello, run our course, or get your pictures made with our superheroes (via social distancing, of course!) anytime between 8-2pm that day. We will have a full 5k course and 1 mile Fun Run marked for anyone who wishes to run on this beautiful lakeside trail! Be sure to upload your results by 11:59 PM on Saturday, October 3rd. The pavilion will also double as our packet pick-up/ t-shirt pick-up location for those who live in the Memphis area.

*Both our 5k and Fun Run courses are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant*

* A $3 per participant discount will be applied to groups of 5 or more *

*There will be two chances for packet pick-up (t-shirts, medals, etc.) for those who live in the Memphis area. The first will be at Hyde Lake Pavilion on September 26th, and the second will be at Fleet Feet Memphis date TBD. Items will be shipped to those who live out of the area.*

All proceeds of this event will benefit Exceptional Connections International- our nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower parents and professionals in developing countries to support and educate individuals with special needs in their communities.
