The Cade Chapel-Nate Ruffin Scholarship Fund was established in 2003 through a generous donation by Nate’s widow, Sharon, to honor his dedication to education. High school graduates from Jackson Public Schools, Cade Chapel Baptist Church, and the Virden Addition Community are encouraged to apply each year for the Cade Chapel Nate Ruffin Scholarship in their quest for educational advancement and achievement. The Scholarship funds are supported through annual fundraisers, individual donations, and/or corporate donations. Since August, 2004, the Nate Ruffin Scholarship Board has awarded over 192 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled at (or graduated from) various colleges and universities.

Race Route: The 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) course starts and finishes at Fondren Duling Hall (2906 N State Street, Jackson, MS.

"Rep Your School" in the Nate Ruffin Annual 5K Walk & Run by wearing your high school or college tee shirt or school colors. Muffin Run 1 mile "Kids Fun Run" will also take place for ages 6-12.

Nate Ruffin Scholarship Fund at Cade Chapel MB Church presents annual 5K which all proceeds go to creating scholarship for upcoming JPS, Cade Chapel, or Virden Community graduates. Please join us on May 2nd at 7:00 a.m. in Fondren at Duling Hall, only $25.00 to join. Online registration is available at raceroster.com, search "Nate Ruffin." The race route will be 5-kilometers (3.1 miles) course which starts and finishes at Fondren Duling Hall (2906 N State Street, Jackson, MS)
