NEA BAPTIST MOTHERS DAY 5K
benefitting ShareHope
Join us for the NEA Baptist Mother's Day 5K! This year due to COVID-19 we will be conducting a virtual race. Simply register online prior to Mother's Day and run/walk the race at your own convenience using your own course anytime before May 31st. In addition to helping a great cause, all registrants will receive a race t-shirt which will be mailed to you.
Encourage your family and friends to sign up and run with you! Take pictures of you or your group (practicing social distancing) running, tag NEA Baptist on social media and use #NEABaptistMD5K!
The proceeds from this race benefit our ShareHope family fund. This fund helps financially burdened families with burial expenses after the loss of a baby.
Race Details
- Register online prior to May 10th
- Determine your 5K (3.1 miles) route (please choose an area that is not crowded and maintain social distancing recommendations of 6' - 10' )
- Anytime between May 10th - May 31st run or walk 3.1 miles while tracking your stats using a fitness tracker or fitness app (several free apps are available such as MapMyRun or Runkeeper)
- Upload a photo of your time to our NEA Baptist MD5K Race Roster site (not mandatory)
- Print out your race bib here. After you complete your 5K please post photos on social media, tag NEA Baptist, and use #NEABaptistMD5K
- We will mail your race shirt to the address listed on your registration. Please allow extra time due to slow production and postal service due to COVID-19

ABOUT SHAREHOPE
ShareHope is a program of the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation. It was formed out of love by a mother who had lost her own baby shortly before her birth. ShareHope is called when a family loses or has an impending loss of a child during pregnancy, at birth or within the first few months of life. We offer support during one of the most difficult times of their lives. We provide mementos, clothing, blankets, photographs and other items collected after the delivery.
In addition, ShareHope helps the family with funeral arrangements and memorial services. This year we have created a special fund called the ShareHope Family Fund that assists low income families cover funeral costs as needed.
