Join Arkansas State Alumni Association and the Get in Gear Fitness Series for a Virtual 5K, April 19-25!
Run, Walk, or Roll Your Way to a 5K! Wherever you are, whenever you can. Everyone is invited to this fun and free event. We can keep our fitness levels high while practicing social distancing. We are apart, together.
Here's how it works:
Determine your 5K (3.1 miles) course route and train for your race.Choose an area that is not crowded, such as your neighborhood. Be sure to understand and follow the resolutions and/or ordinances in your community regarding social distancing.
At any time that day, run, walk, or roll 3.1 miles while tracking your stats using a fitness tracker or fitness app. Be sure to stay 6-10 feet away from other racers. If you see more than 10 people in any area, please adjust your route so that participants remain spread out. Several free apps are available on the app store, including MapMyRun, Runkeeper, and Runtastic.
