Register here on Race Roster for free, but then please make a donation to Feed NS on their website: https://www.feednovascotia.ca/donate/donate-money/general-donation
-Starts on Saturday May 2nd, 2020 at 8:00am AST. Sharp.
-Same rules apply as the Sonofa Gunofa Run/Toboggan Run/any “Last Person Standing” race. You have 59m59s to complete your route. Each 'lap' starts exactly at the top of the hour, every hour, until no one is left!
-Late starters will be DQ'd or not counted in the final results.
-There will be a "EFVR Start List" posted on the Nova Scotia Trail Running Facebook Page (pinned to the top). I'll post the start list there Friday afternoon when registration closes.
-If your route is outside, you have to run/walk/crawl (foot travel only!) a 6.67km route from your home with a GPS watch/device recording you.
-If you're using a treadmill, you need to do 6.67km and you can't start the treadmill until the clock strikes the top of the hour. You'll also have to post photos of your treadmill distance and time after you complete each lap (or after you tap out).
-You can also mix up your routes throughout the event. Switching from outside running to inside/treadmill and vice-versa is acceptable.
-Please abide by the laws/orders/suggestions from your local government regarding social distancing and group gatherings.
-After registering on Race Roster, head over to Strava at some point and search for the ”Ella’s Frontyard Virtual Run” under “clubs”. You’ll get ’approved’ within a day or so after requesting to join the club. Everyone’s laps will be easily found here!
-After each lap, try to post your run to Strava. Posting your laps can also be done when you are finished the event.
-If you "refuse to continue" the next lap, please type your name under the "start list" post so we don't go looking for you. We can’t send out a search party for you if you go missing ;) Also let us know how many laps you did after you tap out (if possible).
**Please don’t attempt this if you don’t feel well. Beating down your immune system during this time is not a wise move, so stay safe and play smart**
IF WE USE "FB LIVE", or a similar platform....
-Your camera view (that you set up at your start/finish line) is your “start/finish corral”. You need to be in your corral prior to each start and obviously you need to finish in your corral too. If your camera view is out your front door, maybe have an actual start/finish line closer to your camera. For example: our camera view may show our whole driveway, which is 70 metres long. The whole driveway can't count as our start/finish corral, so we'll have a more defined start/finish line within the camera view.
**If someone is an expert with the "live video feed" world and has some input on how to pull off a live stream for 24+hrs, please send an email to novascotiatrailrunning@outlook.com. Thanks very much!
Good luck!!
