Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids

Since 1990, Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) has fed hungry kids. Our mission is to connect and inspire people to take meaningful action to feed and care for kids. Our vision is simple: communities that make sure all kids are fed.

As a nation, we have more than enough for food everyone, yet household food insecurity affects 1 in 6 Canadian children. This means that 1 in 6 children do not know where their next meal is coming from.

Our lunch programs support students in 225+ public, Catholic, and private schools and feed kids from Kindergarten to Grade twelve. If a child is without access to an adequate, healthy lunch we make sure they are fed. It's that simple. Almost 5,000 kids are fed daily, and this number grows every day. Between June - November 2019, BB4CK experienced a 20% increase in the need for our programs.
