Are you getting cabin fever? Snacking yourself into the next pants size? Weatherford Parks and Recreation has created a virtual 5K, 10K, Half or Full Marathon. With the current events “Social Distancing” is very important, but so is your physical health and possibly sanity. This virtual run has been created to get you out of the house and back into that fitness groove. The best part about this run, you can run or walk as an individual or family and you have 2 full weeks to complete whatever distance you choose!
All of those who complete any of the runs will be entered into a drawing for a super cool Parks and Recreation swag basket that will include a VIP pass for a family of four to our Holiday in the Park event. Three baskets will be up for grabs in the drawing. The longer the run you complete the more times you will be entered (One for 5K, two for 10K, 3 for half, 4 for full marathon). The drawing will be held live on Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Before, during or after your run we ask you to take a selfie or video with an inspirational message while we all navigate through these difficult times and post it on this thread.
