Run for the Roses Virtual 5K Run/ Walk

The University of Kentucky American Student Dental Association Chapter's Philanthropy Committee is hosting a Run for the Roses Virtual 5K Run/ Walk to benefit the Mission Lexington Medical, Pharmacy, Vision, and Dental Clinics, while offering another opportunity to maintain our own wellness during this time of uncertainty. We are encouraging all professional students to unite with us in our effort and extend the invitation to family and friends!

The event will take place on May 9th at your own treadmill, track, neighborhood sidewalk or roadway. Just be sure to keep your distance from others in accordance with Kentucky Governor Beshear's Covid-19 recommendations.

When registering, please choose any amount to donate to our cause! Again, 100% of the proceeds will go to the Mission Lexington Clinics.

THERE'S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

Register for the race any time before the morning of the event and then complete a 5k on your own time. Each participant will receive a gift for donating!

RUNNERS - The best female time and best male time will receive a $20 gift card for a local Lexington favorite. If you sign-up as a runner, you can submit your best time and proof of your run on a tracking app like Mapmyrun, Strava, or personal tracking watch (Fitbit, Garmin, etc). Data must be submitted no later than midnight of May 9th to be considered for prizes. Winners will be announced on this Facebook page on May 10th.

WALKERS - As a walker, you can use the honor system to tell us about your walk and how long it took you and remember this is your walk and you can walk it over a couple of days if you like. Post your pictures on our FB page as you complete your 5K!
