My Story…
We are celebrating everyday with Grattitude & Joy that our precious boy Payton James, kicked cancer’s booty👊🏻. It is a relief to be on the other side of treatment “cancer free” and going strong. Payton reminds us daily to live our best lives as his shines as bright as the sun ☀️ 🎗💪🏻. We can’t imagine going through 3.5 years of treatment without the love & support of friends, family, & organizations like Bear Nessesities. In our darkest moments this is what gave us strength & courage to remain steadfast till the end.
The very least we can do is support families who are currently in the midst of such grief & hardship. Bear Nessesities offers a “hand up” to those dealing with these very difficult circumstances. If you’re able to, please join us on Friday October 23 for a 30-45 minute walk around our neighborhood to raise money for this cause. Pediatric cancer is tragic... all we can do is fight for cures by giving to research & organizations that support the families.
Thank you for any donation you’re able to make. Walking is optional. Also since it’s close to Halloween you can dress up if you’d like to. Again that’s optional.

Every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer.
That is why I have joined this year's A Walk for the Bear, in support of Bear Necessities mission to eliminate Pediatric Cancer & provide hope and support to those who are touched by it.
Your donation is more critical now than ever in helping to carry out this mission, and will allow Bear Necessities to:
- Provide unique and meaningful, albeit virtual or socially distant, Bear Hugs to kids with cancer;
- Support families who are undergoing financial stress through our Family Support Services Program; and
- Fund pediatric cancer research.
In this time of uncertainty, the ability to meet the needs of patients, their families, and their caregivers, is more important than ever.
