A Walk for the Bear

Due to Covid-19 and the current limitations set by the state of Illinois, A Walk For The Bear 2020 will be a virtual event. The event will be three days from Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th. During this time, you can walk or run wherever and whenever you choose at a safe social distance. Perhaps you will choose your neighborhood or favorite park or even your own backyard. We still want to embrace a Halloween theme event, have fun and dress up in a Halloween costume.

Register today and start a team, join a team or participate as an individual. Then, fundraise for the kids Bear Necessities helps and to defeat childhood cancer. Your fundraising is critical at this time and will help to make it possible for Bear Necessities to carry out its' mission to eliminate pediatric cancer and to provide hope and support to those who are touched by it.

Meet Virtually

We will have three Zoom sessions and will invite all registrants to join us virtually. Here are the dates:

• Welcome Walkers - Wednesday, October 7^th at 6:30 p.m.
• Kick Off – Thursday, October 22^nd at 6:30 p.m.
• Finish Line Get Together – Sunday, October 25^th at 5 p.m.

T-Shirts: Long sleeve T-Shirts to the first 500 registrants. They will be mailed after the walk.

Prizes: Top Team Fundraiser will receive up to 10 unique Barrett Bear & Sugarfina Gummy Bear package. Top Individual Fundraiser will receive a monster-size Halloween themed tin of a variety of popcorn flavors.
