RUN/WALK FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER
Welcome to our inaugural Virtual Run/Walk for Childhood Cancer. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and we're going virtual all month long for you to participate and help raise much needed funds. Every year requests for our support increase. We can not meet those needs without financial assistance from the community. Please Join the Journey to end Childhood Cancer, and let's get virtual.
Anyone can participate, just put on your sneakers (gold ones, if you got 'em), head out the door, walk or run on your favourite path, stroll in the park, hike a mountain trail, do what tickles your fancy. Just record those kilometres all in support of helping families with uncovered medical and travel expenses, Childhood Cancer research and raising awareness.
Pick your distance, 2km, 5km, 10km, 21.1km, 42.2 km, or take on the ultra 100km challenge. No matter what your speed, method, or distance or distances preferred will be, together, we can treat, fight, and Win!

Donation - Your Impact
$20.00 DONATION - buys Heparin, which is used to prevent clotting in the ports.
$50.00 DONATION - buys numbing cream (Ametop and EMLA) for one child for one month, to numb the skin, so the needles don't hurt as much.
$90.00 DONATION - buys a digital thermometer. This is a requirement to take the children home from the hospital. They are Immunosuppressed, so they need to have their temperature taken often to watch for any increase, which can be a sign of illness.
$250.00 DONATION Line Supplies – Tubing etc. for ports, parking, meals ALL not covered by private or provincial health care.
How does it work?
- You may complete your virtual run/walk at the time and location of your choice between 09.01.2020 - 09.30.2020. You can log your performance on a tracking app or device of your choice.
- You can submit your virtual result by visiting https://results.raceroster.com/results/cvptfpat52wuzak3 Using your confirmation number. *If you need assistance submitting your results, please follow these instructions.
- You are encouraged to post pictures on your preferred social channels using and of these hashtags #WarriorStrong, #NewNormalisOurNormal, #Thisisreal, #Fightlikeawarrior,#WarriorStrong. Let’s give our community something to celebrate!
