When: July 6 – July 31

What: Complete up to four Distance Challenges from a 5k, 10k or 15k between July 6 – July 31. You get to choose your distance. We recommend that you complete one Distance Challenge a week along with the weekly Bonus Challenge.

Distance Challenge: You get to choose your distance between 5k, 10k or 15k. We encourage running or walking but if you want to skip or ride a scooter that works too! We recommend that you complete one Distance Challenge a week but you can complete them any time between June 6 – July 31.

Bonus Challenges: Participate in a Bonus Challenge along with your Distance Challenge to qualify for Weekly Giveaways. Details regarding the Bonus Challenge will be emailed to you weekly. Here is an example of a Bonus Challenge: Complete 10 burpees after each mile you go. Bonus Challenges are optional but must be completed in order to qualify for Weekly Giveaways.

Where: A place that works for you as long as you can stay distant from others and enjoy your run/walk.

Qualify to enter the Weekly Giveaways: Every week we will randomly select qualified participants for prizes. Participants must complete their Distance Challenge along with the Bonus Challenge. You will receive details regarding the Bonus Challenge weekly. Qualification guidelines will consist of recording and/or uploading your Distance Results along with the Bonus Challenge.

Stay Connected: Be sure to follow Generic Events on Facebook and Instagram for event updates, bonus challenge details, and to stay connected with other We RUN Challenge participants. If you participate in the bonus challenges, make sure you tag @genericevents on Instagram so you’ll be entered into the giveaway raffle.

Mailing of We RUN Goods: All participants will receive their Standard or Premium package even if the challenges are not completed or recorded. To ensure that all participants get a high quality t-shirt in their requested size, we will be shipping your We Run Challenge package between July 21-23. You will receive your package before the end of July.

Upload Your Results: This is not mandatory, but if you wish to track your results, just follow these simple steps:

Step 1 - Navigate to your Race Roster dashboard here.

Step 2 - Select the 'Start Virtual Run' button. You will then be redirected to the Runkeeper app with the option to download the app if you haven't already.

Step 3 - Tap the 'Start' Button on the We Run Challenge Runkeeper page. Begin your run/walk while carrying your phone.

Step 4 - After you've completed the distance, you may add notes and photos before tapping the 'Save Activity' button. Your results will then be automatically uploaded to the results platform for our team to review and approve.

Completing Bonus Challenges: By completing the weekly bonus challenges, you will be entered into Weekly Giveaways. Each week, we will email participants and post the bonus challenges to the We Run Challenge Facebook Page. To prove you completed the challenge, post a creative photo to your Instagram account with #WeRunChallenge and be sure to tag @genericevents. Winners will be selected at random and announced at the end of each week.

What to expect: Packages will be mailed by July 6 and for those that register on or after July 6, packages will be mailed weekly thereafter. Each week you will receive an email highlighting the bonus challenge details. We will also be staying in touch regularly via the event facebook page and we invite you to stay connected with the community that way too! An encouraging comment goes a long way during this time.
