Our story…

Hello! Meet our team Mac Attacks ALD: Wade, Jamie, Murray (4) and Meyer McAnelly (1). Our boys were diagnosed thanks to the MN Newborn Screen in January of 2019. And while we are devastated by this news, we are also so grateful for the knowledge ahead of time so that we can watch for signs and symptoms. Luckily living in Minnesota, we are at the BEST research hospital in the world. Unfortunately, with a disease this rare, not a lot of funding has gone into ALD research. There are some very promising research initiatives but simply not enough funds available. The majority of these funds are entirely dependent on charitable donations. This organization is comprised of families who are forever linked to ALD. The more money we can raise, the more research can happen to improve the chances of our boys and others like them.
