In 1978, Dave McGillivray began his first cross country journey, running 3,452 miles in 80 days from Medford, OR to Medford, MA — his hometown. Forty-two years later we're giving you the opportunity to virtually run in Dave's footsteps with the Medford2Medford: Run Across America. Participants can register as part of a team or individually to virtually run/walk/bike their way across the country. There will be three distance challenges:

• Medford2Medford: Run Across America (3452 miles)
• TheMississippi2Medford: The Eastern States (1258 miles)
• Massachusetts2Medford: The Home Stretch (142 miles)

Participants will also have the choice of registering for one of two race packs:

• The Starter Pack ($35) includes the following items:
