WHY I RUN I have been part of the running community since losing my son, Joseph. Running and the amazing, kind, and generous people of the running community helped me make it through some very dark days. I now run with many heart angels watching over me, and with many other heart warriors in my heart. I run for those who can't. ABOUT ME I am the co-founder of The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation (www.jmbigheart.com). JMBHF was founded in memory of our son, Joseph, who passed away due to complications from cardiomyopathy at the age of 6 on September 23, 2013. Joseph was/is the most beautiful boy who, despite suffering from cardiomyopathy, touched many lives and hearts during his short time on earth with his exuberance for living and his ability to make people smile. The foundation's mission honors Joseph’s message of All You Need is Love by spreading kindness, empowering children, funding cardiomyopathy research, and supporting families dealing with pediatric cardiac conditions.
