Now is a better time than ever to stay active, support local non-profits, and of course enjoy a nice active run or walk!
We're hosting a virtual 1 km (.62 miles) or 5 km (3.1 miles) fund run/walk that you can do any time, any place! All registration fees from the fund run will support our youth education program in Tanzania which provides school tuition fees and new uniforms to children in need. In Africa schools have a required fee families must pay for children to attend school. These fees are too expensive for many household, continuing the cycle of poverty. We're hoping to send as many children to school as possible once they re-open due to COVID-19 closures. While you're here you can also make additional donations if you'd like.
A few notes about the race:
-We ask that you socially distance yourself from others when doing the run/walk. Running/walking with members of your household / social bubble is absolutely an option though - a good one at that!
-You'll need to track your fund walk/run using an app such as Nike+ or Fitbit (or any similar app) and email your walk / run time to show that you have completed your run/walk to obtain a medal. Please email your time to: sunnyfuturesngo@gmail.com or through the Facebook page.
-You have until July 15 to complete the run/walk to receive a completion medal.
-We will mail you a completion medal once we have received your run/walk information.
