November 8, 2016 I went in for my routine 28 week appointment with our 3rd baby. I remember very vividly the ultrasound tech telling the midwife there was no cardiac activity. Time froze and my world came crashing down. We went in for a c-section that night and Kaliese Jade Evans was born, into Heaven at 2219, weighing 1.11lbs. I had a friend tell me about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. We talked and hesitated and said even if we don’t look at these pictures for years, we want the option to be able to do that when we choose. Our photographer came in at midnight and photographed the small details of the most difficult and most vulnerable time in our lives. I cherish these photos. Without NILMDTS we wouldn’t have the priceless photographs that we do. In remembrance of Kaliese we would be honored to give someone else that gift during their time of loss. "An Angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth. And whispered as she closed the book "too beautiful for earth." 💜
