As most of you know, our first son was stillborn. I wanted to share a little more detail of his story with you. I went to my last appointment on Thursday, October 14th. I said I felt like something was weird had been in the early stages of labor for two weeks. He told me that if we didn’t have the baby by Monday, I would be scheduled for induction. Rhys didn’t make it until then. We lost him two days later. I had class that morning and went afterwards to get my nails done, preparing for all those newborn pictures. I felt like I was going to pass out all of a sudden while I was there. I didn’t know that at that moment, we had lost our son. I went home and ate something. Still no movement. Certain I was being silly, I called Tom and went to the hospital. Then began the longest hours of my life. Rhys made his entrance at 12:04am on his due date. He was lost due to cord prolapse.
