Our story…
I was never expecting to hear my doctor say “It's too early for them to survive”. That day and those words hurt in ways I just could not explain. My heart absolutely ached and it was painful to even breathe. It was the absolute worse day of my life. A nurse came in and offered to take photos to document the day Christian and Aidan were born. At first, I was just confused and almost upset that she would want to take photos of us on this horrible day. She explained how it would help us through the grieving process and be able to celebrate the moments we were able to hold them in our arms. I am so grateful for that caring nurse who took the time to help us in our lowest moment.
If you're interested and able, NILMDTS is hosting a virtual remembrance walk on October 3. Chuck, Cade, Maisie Jo and I will be participating in honor of Christian and Aidan. Please donate if you are able, to help other grieving families.
