The Walk-A-Thon is an event to help raise funds for The Learning House Foundation. The Learning House foundation supports innovative education that uses mastery learning with natural and logical consequences.
Funds raised during the Walk-A-Thon goes towards programs designed to help our students meet their goals & prepare to become responsible, productive members of our community.
The Learning House integrates individualized education, vocational support, counseling and experiential activities to encourage a sense of self-worth and mutual respect; healthy decision making; responsibility and accountability; a sense of community; and a respectful future.
The Learning House Foundation is an Illinois not-for-profit Corporation and has been granted 501(c)(3) foundation status by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions are tax deductible.

Learning House Student Event Closed
-You are required to walk over 30 minutes Monday-Thursday and an hour Friday. -By Friday June 26th you must have clocked in minimum of 3 hours. - 1 CIP hour earned for every $5 you raise! The more money you raise, the more CIP hours you earn! -An additional 3 CIP hours are earned for completion of the Walk-A-Thon Contests and Prizes! -Student with the most Zoom participants (TLH students and staff only) on the walk can win a prize. Must have at least one staff member included in the Zoom walk. Ask a staff to create the Zoom walk. -Students who walk with registered family members can win a prize. Zoom with your counselor to show you are walking with your family! Ask your counselor to create the family Zoom walk. -Student with the most funds raised will win a prize! -Student who gets the most participants to register to walk under their name will win a prize!

F.A.Q.
Where can I walk/run?
We ask that you walk/run close to your home, on trails, sidewalks or roads that are open, and practice CDC health recommendations.
What if the weather is bad?
Get creative! Walk inside your home, up and down the stairs, or use a treadmill if you have one!
Win Prizes:
*The Learning House student who forms the biggest group of students and staff on a Zoom walk, will win a prize! You must reach out to a staff member to create the Zoom walk!
*The Learning House student and registered family members who walk together with their counselor (over Zoom) the most amount of days, will win a prize! You must reach out to your counselor to create the Zoom walk!
*The Learning House student who has the most amount of participants registered under their name, wins a prize!
* The Learning House student who raises the most money for The Learning Foundation, wins a prize!
*All participants who register, but are not Learning House students, will be entered in a drawing to win a prize for participating!
*All those who make a donation to The Learning House Foundation, but do not want to register as a participant, will be eligible to win a prize as well!
When/how do I get my prize?
Prizes will be delivered or mailed out the week of July 17th.
