The Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation's Emerging Leaders Board are a group of young professionals who volunteer to fulfill the mission to enhance the quality of life and economic success of Greater Kansas City by assisting with several events and initiatives to foster the overall benefits of sports.
The Emerging Leaders Pickleball Tournament presented by KPMG is the group's annual fundraiser, bringing together roughly 100 young professionals for a fun evening of pickleball, food and drinks, and networking (all socially distanced of course). Teams take part in a double elimination, doubles style tournament. The evening also includes a raffle, giving away several awesome, Kansas City inspired raffled packages.
The Kansas City Sports Commission operates as a 501(c)6 organization and the Kansas City Sports Foundation operates as a 501(c)3 organization, whose missions are to make a better Kansas City through sports.
Registration fees will include:
- (2) buffet style dinners
- (2) drink tickets
- (2) raffle tickets
*one per participant
We are optimistic the Emerging Leaders Pickleball Tournament will proceed as planned. However, we are monitoring the current COVID-19 situation closely and will abide by public gathering restrictions as implemented by the state of Missouri, Clay County, Kansas City, MO and Chicken N Pickle. Should this result in necessary changes to the event, we will be in contact with any information including postponement and/or cancellation.
