With no early detection protocols or diagnostic testing Project Purple is on a mission to solve that issue.
Dino's Double Mile For Detection is aiming to provide critical funding for the PRECEDE Consortium for early detection.
In 2019 we supported the funding of the PRECEDE Consortium. The PRECEDE Consortium is an international high risk screening program for family members who have a higher risk for pancreatic cancer because of a particular genetic mutation. There are 35 centers worldwide that make up the PRECEDE Consortium. One of the goals of the PRECEDE Consortium is to standardize early detection protocols and diagnostic testing for pancreatic cancer. Families who have been touched by pancreatic cancer are encouraged to get involved as we know up to 10% of cases worldwide occur from some sort of genetic mutation.
