2020 Packet Pick Up Instructions
We look forward to seeing you soon at Run to Feed the Hungry Packet Pick Up. To ensure a safe and efficient pick up experience, we’ve made some changes to the Packet Pick Up process. Please review all of the details below to ensure you have the information you need.
Your Packet Pick Up time slot can be found on your registration confirmation receipt
To reduce your wait time, we suggest not arriving right at the start of your time slot.
Packet Pick Up Location
Packet Pick Up is located at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Dr, Sacramento, CA 95819. In accordance with guidelines from the Dept. of Public Health, Packet Pick Up will take place outside in the church parking lot.
Packet Pick Up Parking
Parking is available across the street from Fremont Presbyterian Church at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 6151 H St, Sacramento, CA 95819. After parking, cross Carlson Drive at the marked crosswalk and follow signs to Packet Pick Up.
Bring your Confirmation Receipt
Our volunteers will need to scan the barcode on your confirmation receipt upon arrival. Your confirmation receipt was attached to the confirmation email that you received after registering. The receipt can be printed out or displayed on your phone.
Picking Up for Others
You may pick up packets for your friends and family. Please ensure that you have a copy of their confirmation receipt for our volunteers to scan, and make sure they know you are picking up on their behalf.
T-Shirt Exchanges
Due to COVID-19 protocols, we are unable to accommodate t-shirt size exchanges this year.
Team Pick Up
There is not a dedicated team pick up this year. Team members are responsible for picking up their own packets.
Masks & Social Distancing
Participants and volunteers will be required to wear a mask at all times during packet pick up, including while waiting in line. Please observe 6’ distance markers while in line.
Can't Make it to Packet Pick Up?
If you're unable to make it to Packet Pick Up for any reason, packets will be available to pick up after Thanksgiving at Fleet Feet Sacramento (2311 J St, Sacramento, CA 95816) on Wednesday, December 2 and Thursday December 3 from 10am to 6pm. You do not need to let us know if you plan to pick up at Fleet Feet.
Shoe Donation
If you have new or slightly used shoes that you no longer wear, please consider donating them at the Second Life Soles tent at packet pick up. Second Life Soles is a local non-profit which collects used and new shoes to be provided to individuals in need. Donated shoes are provided to various charities including the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. For those athletic shoes which are beyond their useful life, Second Life Soles will recycle them to avoid being thrown into landfills. Please consider bringing a shoe donation to Packet Pick Up.
Our volunteers are looking forward to helping you at packet pick up in the coming days. Please remember that we’ve had to make changes to the pick up process to ensure that everyone is kept safe, including limiting the number of volunteer stations. We ask for your patience as we do our best to serve you.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Run to Feed the Hungry Team and Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
