Help us raise money

For participating in DOUGIE'S EPIC ADVENTURE - A Magical Flutie 5K!

Our Story

The Autism Alliance provides support, programs, and resources to Massachusetts families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders. We help families understand an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, guide them through the next steps, and connect them to a supportive community. The Autism Alliance has partnered with the Flutie Foundation for more than 20 years. Together, we have created programs for children and adults with autism, such school vacation week programs, Flutie Friday Night Club, Glee Club, and more. Thanks to the Flutie Foundation's emergency funding during COVID-19, we were able to provide assistance to over 125 individuals and families. Join us in supporting the Flutie Foundation to continue helping individuals and families affected by autism live life to the fullest.

Description

Help our team reach our goal for Dougie's Epic Adventure: A Magical Flutie 5K, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 22-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
